What is sponsorship

Corporate Sponsorship is a form of marketing by which companies/businesses pay to be associated with certain events, projects, campaigns or products. There has been an increase in sponsorship from small and medium companies; it is not just the big brands that provide sponsorship. Generally sponsorship is in the form of cash or in kind. The relationship between the sponsor and the property (person/group/business receiving sponsorship) is a marketing relationship, and, the sponsor expects a ROI (return on investment).
