Launching books and products, and planning speaking tours should advance your business and sales…. not waste time, money and energy with little results! Speaking tours take a long time to plan and are expensive. What if you could have your next launch, tour or dream project funded with other people’s money?
If you are an author or speaker looking to get Much Better Results on your launches, tours and events, then you are in the RIGHT place!
Want to learn the exact system that I used to get a 32 foot RV sponsored for a 10,000 mile speaking and book tour? Would you like to have your clothing, travel, printing, business supplies, event venues, swag and media sponsored by corporations?
As a professional speaker and author who has secured more than 40 corporate sponsors, I will help you master and learn how to:
1. Know the steps and how sponsorship works.
2. Get past the gatekeepers (which is sometimes the most
challenging task) - to the decision makers.
3. Build the relationship (and trust) over time. This MUST
happen before sending off random proposals, pitch
letters and Asks for help.
Think about the letters (and phone calls) that you receive asking you for money, sponsorship and a donation. How many do you say YES to? If you are like most people the answer is “not very many” and one reason is because you don’t have a relationship with the person who wrote the letter.
In planning the launch of her new children’s book, author Miriam wanted to get her book into schools around the globe, and get a Guinness Book of World Records status for her book (without incurring the $10,000+ expense).
I reviewed her strategy and identified how to include sponsorship and a global marketing implementation strategy. I taught Miriam how and where to find sponsors, and the steps to create a global marketing strategy.
Miriam successfully secured sponsors, sold and gifted a lot of books, won an award (with cash prize), and, achieved her dream goal.
Miriam was awarded a Guinness World Record™ in 2014 for “The Largest Online Book Discussion in a 24 Hour period” by networking with hundreds of schools across 19 different countries to read her first book, I CAN Believe in Myself.
With that record she achieved her goal to empower 100,000 children to believe in themselves.
Emma, a 30 year old Funding & Development Coordinator for a small 8 staff mental health organization in northern Canada, needed
sponsors for their upcoming annual fundraiser. Emma had successfully planned many events and had success at securing media,
volunteers and other types of support.
Emma knew that having sponsors would help offset both the cost and risk for the
event, and help make this event so much more meaningful for the community and the organization’s clients. This event is
their biggest fundraiser which covers costs for many of the core programs they offer to clients, so the less money spent on
the event meant more financial resources for the clients and services.
Several months away from the event, Emma participated in a 3 hour workshop I taught about sponsorship. In this workshop I
taught Emma and the others how to build relationships with sponsors, how to prepare for discovery calls and meetings with
prospective sponsors, and how to navigate through the conversation and negotiation process.
Using the exact strategies, steps and script I teach in my program, Emma made one phone call to a Teachers’ Association.
Emma reported back that upon closing the phone call she had successfully gained a new title sponsor for the event, securing a
$4,000 cash sponsorship plus additional in kind sponsorship and support for marketing, printing, and social media support.
"I used Charmaine's strategies on building partnerships and raising funds for my Guinness World Records™ campaign and they worked beautifully. I was not only able to fund the campaign, set a world record, but also empower many children to think positively in the process. I am so thankful for her knowledge and insight."
Bestselling children’s author Miriam Laundry sets a first-time Guinness World Records title for the largest online book discussion in 24 hours. Miriam had an online book discussion involving 33,695 participants who left comments in 24 hours for the book I Can Believe in Myself, drawing contributors from 29 countries. The record attempt dovetailed with Miriam being granted the 2014 Winspiration Award.
"Charmaine taught me the art of asking. She reminded me that if I didn’t ask, the answer will always be no. For example my live book launch party in 2014 for the international best-selling anthology Inch by Inch Growing in Life, I had my make-up, hair, clothes, and the photographer all done for me by in-kind sponsorship. All from asking local business women in the city to donate their specialities. Charmaine’s teachings work! I recommend her highly!”

Her presentation was packed with actionable information. She shared how corporate sponsorships can benefit our businesses, how to identify opportunities, how to approach contacts, and what corporations are looking for. She’s skilled presenter – the attendees were engaged, educated as well as entertained. Can’t wait for my next opportunity to hear Charmaine’s brilliance!"

Will this program help me find sponsors?
Yes, the program will help you identify sponsors that may be a good fit, teach you how to build relationships with them and the process to engage them in conversation and negotiations. The program doesn’t guarantee that you will secure sponsorship deals … much of that depends on you (what your project is, how you treat sponsors, what you have to offer them, etc), BUT this program will teach you what you need to know, what you may need to do differently to be successful and what mistakes to absolutely avoid.
How much should I ask sponsors for?
Great question. The short answer is There is No Definitive Answer. This information will come from your sponsor, through your conversations, by knowing what you have to offer your sponsors and the value of these benefits you can offer. Often speakers and authors want to jump right to the ask, right to the dollar amount. This will hurt you EVERY time! It’s like dating… if you ask a sponsor for money too soon, without a relationship and trust, it is like asking them to marry you, on the first date
What should I put in the proposal?
Proposals are developed after you have researched a sponsor, met with them, understand their needs, have planned their involvement together. Every proposal will look different because it is customized to meet each sponsors specific needs. The program takes you through this.
My event is two months away, registrations are low. How do I get sponsors to pick up the cost?
Sponsors require time (to build a relationship with you and to go through the sponsorship process). They are not there to save the event. Make sure you plan enough time to engage sponsors. Asking at the last minute typically leads to a NO, and, can get in the way of relationship building. Sponsors will draw assumptions that you are a last minute person
Every day you wait to get started learning about sponsorship is another day further away from a YES, one day longer it will take to have other businesses say YES to fund your dream projects.
I have a problem. I have lots of testimonials on my other products but this one is brand new so if you are willing to give us your honest feedback within 30 days after purchase, we will give you 50% off AND a 45 minute phone consultation with our team.
